Nicki and the PhantomCallers

Blue Moonlight by Nikki & the Phantom Callers

This tune has such a fantastic rootsy twang in the guitar and vocally Nikki and the Phantom Callers have some eclectic melodies. There is a real nice sound happening. I really enjoyed the track, the presence in the vocal, the subtle hints of 60’s pop and fun little twists that really kept me listening.

Band leader Nikki Speake grew up singing in church in Dadeville, Alabama; writing her own songs at 16 and fronting punk and country bands in college. This sparked her energetic – to say the least – program of touring and sharing bills with some fantastic acts including Shannon and the Clams, L.A. Witch, The Legendary Shack Shakers, King Khan & the Shrines, Tav Falco, Lee Bains III & the Glory Fires, Banditos, Lydia Loveless and many more.
