I love the energy exuded by Sigmond Faust on this very tangible release. The whole track breaths a new life on some of the old standards in the indie-rock realm. The track has a great melody and fun callousness in the lyrics.
I hear some of the vocal styles akin to Paul Banks (Interpol), but Faust has his own energy and stamp on this. As noted by the artist, the song does have some 50s/60s or similar influence… there is a creative energy that really can’t be denied here.
Recorded in his home in Berlin, Germany, Faust has taken the home DIY recording to another level, the production is brilliant, well balanced, and passionate in the delivery. Well done.
