Toronto singer-songwriter Rose Brokenshire has released a moody downtempo indie-pop tune titled, Alright, that shares a little on some of her favorite hometown places.
There is a sullen and dreamy sound in Rose’s vocal approach. The atmosphere is fitted with ambient synth and free beats that bring a sense of connection in the calming pace set by the vocalist. The song is crafted in this swelling up of sound that carries her listeners into a bit of a dreamy trance.
After playing in and around the Toronto music scene, Rose decided to make a change and move north to pursue nature and become a Forest Firefighter. After six years of putting out fires, Rose has come back and begun lighting a few of her own. Her new style incorporates more of a folk vibe, while still moving in a poetic ambiance that is the core of this ethereal bedroom pop sound.
