Big guitars, fantastic tone, and one hell of a nice beat keep this track at the forefront of my mind. I love the dreaminess in the tune, held in check by the vocalists’ soft and lackadaisical delivery.
The dynamics are really well-positioned, there is a great balance in the big sound and those softer interludes flow so well in and out of the grungy guitar lines.
Personally I love the dreamy fuzz guitar, but the ability to do that with interesting and sonically poised melodic interludes is getting harder to find. Weathering does this so well, a little like Tangerine Drops by Morella’s Forest, for those of you loving the mid-90s.
