Love the whimsical vocal from Day Trip’s vocalist. The band has a slight playfulness to the track. The guitar is jangly and clean and showcases some great climaxes in the bridge and lead up to the chorus sections. Also, I found the staccato rhythms are bright and fun.
This is the story of a mysterious boy with a blue tattoo on his forehead… I love the bands description:
Just as unconventional as that boy was, the structure for this song inspires a linear journey through moments of tension, release, dance, and cry — as well as the band’s first use of synthesizer in a song.
