Departures by I, the Mountain

Folky contemporaries, I, the Mountain, have created an intelligent romp in the leaves of Canadiana. This Canadian indie band have been getting some great momentum and are creating some wonderfully layered tunes that really highlight the production and rootsy-ness in the cast.

The highlight is the danceable and eclectic chorus and sing-along sections that sound so fun. This track, Departures, shares some of the discomfort of starting a new life, in a new place. It wrestles with the fear of the unknown and the excitement of ones new reality.
