Fresh notes in the likes of Prince, Kyva presents a passionate track that relates to all of us that are dissecting our own place in this boom or bust culture.

Growing up in Avalon, just outside of Sydney, Kyle Linahan (KYVA) learned to embrace bands like Crowded House and Annie Lennox. That late UK pop sound is evident on his recordings and provides some added flare to the standards.

Now signed to NYC label, Frenchkiss Records, KYVA has some ground to explore, with this the forthcoming single, Dollar Sign.

A cultural shake-up is happening. Entrenched societal values and judgments are being challenged across a broad political spectrum, creating a gap in which previously hidden identities emerge and new modes of expression are manifested. And it’s in this gap that you’ll find KYVA – the dynamic new project from Kyle Linahan.

Produced by Samuel Lockwood (the Jezabels) this track has haunting undertones in the bass synth and creates a tight atmosphere to allow KYVA’s mesmerizing pop vocal to careen across.
