Don’t Lay Down and Die by Abandoned Buildings

The debut single from the new album, Disappear Forever, is an eclectic narrative and fitting within the context of the bands name, Abandoned Buildings.

This track builds slowly, the slight pad in the background carries the dystopian narrative, creating a blanket for the sound to rest while vocalist, Paul McNulty’s distinctive tone emanates from the track. I keep waiting for the massive wall of guitar tone to blast me, yet it doesn’t come and it truthfully leaves me even more on edge after the tune finishes. It’s haunting and serene at the same time.
