An easy going, sun-kissed, subtly psychedelic track.

quote from frontman Roberto Rodriguez – “this song is about looking back and realizing how easy we had it when we were younger before things got “real”.  Back then, we were all on the “Easy Train”. Now as we get older we go through a rollercoaster of ups and downs …Our moods are continuously shifting with our responsibilities, stress, and sometimes financial standing . For a moment , “ I was on the Easy Train, she was down on her luck” but that may not stay like that forever. I guess it refers to different stages and life’s highs and lows.”

Coastal Clouds roll in on an ethereal soundtrack of sun-kissed melodies and dusty guitars that would comfortably fit in at a late-night Laurel Canyon jam session circa 1966—or at a modern-day Venice Beach bonfire. The musical alter ego of Puerto Rico-born and Santa Monica-based singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Roberto Rodriguez echoes beyond eras on the 2019 full-length debut, Coastal Clouds [MAKE Records].
