Emotional Distancing by Konsequence

Tom and Mike Zitzelsberger, the Munich duo have been collaborating with each other forever… and the result is this… a perfectly balanced pop tune with brilliant melody and trance-like percussive/post-punk flare.

The straight beat and indie guitar tone are strong in the track, there is a nostalgic 80s style that is ever-present. The ambiance in this track, Emotional Distancing, is being added by some nicely place synth pads that really cater to the emotion in the tune. The song is melancholic, youthful and punchy, there is a hopefulness in the delivery that sets it apart from the crowd.

“the song is about an unnecessary breakup. It’s about an emotional gap between lovers that becomes eventually leads to self-isolation.”
