Fell by Ruby Sparks

A stark, crisp vocal pushes forward on the first note. It’s a soft track that builds and delivers some poignant lyrics. The big melodic chorus is a singalong, and very chill. This is a love song where you’re in love, but it’s just not reciprocated. I hear some interesting transitions and keen little phrases that hook deep. I like the comparison to the 90’s rockers, Soul Asylum. I love the break down in the bridge and think it stands out on this tune.

Ruby Sparks, aka Jake Sternberg, moved from the east to ultimately settle in L.A. Previously in O’Hara, Jake has been playing around for years, opening for bands like Magic Man, Parade of Lights and American Authors.
