Northern Remains on Indie Music Reviews

Forgiveness (Feat. Ethan Carlson) by Northern Remains

This new track from the Ohio Screamo band Northern remains features Ethan Carlson of Pray for Sleep.

This is the 2nd release from the upcoming debut EP, “10 years.” A great track with a nice balance, aggressive drums lay a foundation for the post-hardcore guitar-mash powered by Ethan Carlson from Pray for Sleep. Reminiscent of Dead Poetic (…loved that band), I like the band’s direction and love this new track.

From the Band: Northern Remains is a band from Reynoldsburg, Ohio. They take away from Melodic Hardcore, Hardcore Punk, Post Hardcore and Metalcore to their own unique blend that makes the listener experience their highest of highs and the lowest of lows. The band was formed in 2014, but due to the death of the original vocalist, Cory Robson, and many other line up changes the first release was not until summer of 2019. Suicide is something that unfortunately plagues our band and world. It’s OK to not feel OK. If you are having suicidal thoughts or need someone to talk to call the National Suicide Prevention Hotline (U.S) 1-800-273-8255.
