Goodbye by Rare Monk

This energetic alt-pop band is making waves out of Portland, OR. The indie rock flavours are rich and really storm the plate with esoteric idiosyncracies and nuanced synth work. The new album is coming out shortly and this track, Goodbye, is a tasty appetizer.

This is described as a tasty song about birds… or a track that delves into the philosophy of humanity, and questioning the validity of being pushed out of the nest… sort of speak. I love the melodic chorus and rolling bass that languishes an top of the muted kit.

The track is eclectic, entertaining, and unencumbered by unnecessary instrumentation. Well done.
