Greenwich Village Ghosts by Jakob Leventhal is such a beautiful ballad that has subtle instrumentation to build on the perfectly balanced vocal. The harmony Jakob and Sarah Jarosz share is a magical experience for the listener. They seem to share the same cadence, and the same idiosyncrasy balance in there tone and voice. The track simply flows, the tone in the keys and the ambience that you can hear in the recording is stunning.
This is the first release after Oh, So Bittersweet, the debut that Sir Elton John called, “ONe of the most beautiful records (he’s) ever heard.” Wow, that’s the kind of praise that sets off a wild career. This tune, Greenwich Village Ghosts, is another lovely track. And I think will solidify Jakob as being one of the premiere artists in this genre.
