Honestly by Mini Trees

The initial flow in this track is brilliant. The rollicking little clicks of percussion and a phat bass line that accentuates her melancholic vocal. I adore the little lead guitar playfulness. Subtleties in the guitar and percussion keep the track moving and very entertaining. The transitions, bridge, and chorus are so full of sound and layers that build a lush soundscape. Très bien!

Mini Trees is the moniker of L.A. musician Lexi Vega. Vega has been performing as Mini Trees since 2018, after playing drums around the L.A. scene for several years. This track, Honestly, is a tune that covers the realization of never being satisfied, that we all have a sense of wanting more and more.
