I Don’t Need Your Help by Middle Youth

You are your worst enemy, this is a song about breaking your own heart. Producer, Harper James, a Brooklyn native has channeled in this lulling intense ballad of self-destruction. Using the moniker, Middle Youth, Harper is such a gifted and poetic songwriter, this tune has some vivid melancholic imagery running in through the lyric that adds a layer of intensity to the music.

The instrumentation is straight up, no sense of pretentiousness in the guitar, it’s a warm mix, like a comfortable sweater. The production adds some nice electric guitar, and slide playing layered over the tone rich acoustic. The tune is simply fantastic.
