Love this tune, the melody and balance within the rhythm of the track is brilliant. Idiocracy is off the upcoming EP Fake Depth, due out May 8th, 2020.
Lloyd James Fay has a subtly strong vocal that evokes mixed emotion and emits and intimate sense of longing to the listener. The track, Idiocracy, is thoughtful, and a bit provocative. There is a theme rolling around the idea of technology and the effects of society; pretty poignant stuff.
Fay is originally from the alt-rock band Thula Borah out of Glasgow. You can hear an edge in Fay’s vocal that definitely supports the one time alt-rock singer. Splitting in 2019 has given opportunity for Fay to work on his solo material.
