I’m Not Sure Quite Yet by Cowboy Grizzly

Challenging the listener with an esoteric stance on the question “who Are you?”, Cowboy Grizzly paints a lush canvas of sound that pays homage to the late 70s anthemic concert culture. Honestly, this track would be quite at home in any psychedelic rock festival, think Phish or dare I say the Dead, however, I find a rare connection to bands like Fleet Foxes or Midlake.

The stand out for me is the natural progressions that highlight the vocalist’s inner voicing. The guitars build a wall around the band that holds the track together. I love the breaks in the track, the time changes and little nuances that move this short 2-minute romp to a song much longer and louder than is presented. I crave more.
