In Love Again is the latest from Vancouver’s Yukon Blonde. This song moves the listener with calm jangly guitar riffs and a psych-pop flare.
This is a bit of a love song, the lyric is honest and poetic, the mood is dreamy and thoughtful. I really enjoyed the pace of the vocal delivery. Vocalist Rebecca Grey has a subtle feminine sound that is near to Bowery Electric’s Martha Schwendener.
There is a playfulness in the song that is comfortable, akin to the super8 footage in the band’s lyric video, this is shoegazey and bright. I like to think that the song wears itself like an afghan throw, on a rainy West Coast morning.
