Inertia by Bolywool

Swirling delivery that’s truly on par with 90’s Cure. I appreciate the vocal delivery as a connection to the atmospheric sounds. It’s cloudy, moody and so indie pop. Bolywool, a duo consisting of and has captured a sense of mood and lush garden dynamics in their work. There is a minimalist vibe, but it’s really more efficient. The tune is driving while the band’s sonic presence released through the instrumentation cascades, performing as a symphony; a wall of sound.

The kit just stands apart in this track. The percussive vibe seems effortless, it comes across as very relaxed, pulling the rest of the track into its’ groove. This is definitely a pop track, that feels rooted in gaze. The sense is one of experimentation, a longing for more than the sum of their parts. So well done.
