Kids by State Lines

The song is really reflective and pours out like a glass half full.

Kansas City has now blessed us with State Lines, an eclectic / hip hop / freaking fantastical band, that is really taking all of my attention these days.

I can’t stop playing this tune. Kids, is so infectious. That beat, and that guitar riff are seriously made for each other. The song has so many nuances throughout the production, that it really takes a few listens to feel like I was satisfied. Take notice of the backing vocal in the outro, it’s stunning.

I know the tune was conceived while drinking whiskey and talking about a love (perhaps lost?), you can hear the subtleties in their melancholy vocal. The song is really reflective and pours out like a glass half full.
