Mad Mind by Jaylis

Damn… that bass is thick. Really nice production in the rhythm section. I think vocally there is a disconnect that really works here. The subtleties in the lyric and the the jangly sounding acoustic bring an earthy feel to an otherwise jazzy track.

The song gradually builds throughout, but seemingly stops in the middle of nowhere leaving you holding your breath waiting for the last line. Jaylis has a beautiful voice, she is a bit rude, but it’s so well balanced by the softness in her cadence. Can’t wait for the album coming soon.
