Mama San by Second Pagoda

London’s Second Pagoda drives a tune that has similarities to Cali rockers Red Hot Chili Peppers. The guitar has a tight jangly rhythm and drives in the chorus. Vocally this is a comfortable track that reaches into a very human story of love between soldiers and the bar girls in 70’s Vietnam.

I enjoyed the production and eclectic mix in this track. The sound is really clear and unencumbered by unnecessary elements and instrumentation.
