Three school friends from south London are bursting out with this anthemic tune, “Nothing’s in the Right Place.” Names (the band) offers us a grand track that drives with a dynamite groove, melancholic vocals and soaring lead guitar melodies.
You can hear that lovely, The1975 vibe flowing over these melodic pop phrases. This feels much more commercial than first anticipated, with the vocalist krooning over the chorus. That said, the band has some damn catchy hooks and this song does shine.
As this band begins to emerge in the next few months; I look forward to following their progress.
