Open Sea by Thomas LaVine

Florida-born, and South Carolina raised indie-folk artist Thomas LaVine has taken me in with his latest track, Open Sea. The vocal presence is dynamite, showcasing little flourishes in his cadence that carry the listener into another world.

The poetically talented LaVine has a gift with metaphor and dreamy lyrics. This song opens up a little more of his gifted songwriting and composition. Similar to his previous release “Chemicals”, “Open Sea” is a complex arrangement, that is beautifully translated. Dreamy guitar layered over a simple guitar pattern accenting the plucking and cymbal rolls. Percussively the tracks kit slaps with emotion and drives the listener on, while the build-up in the track is bold and grand in every way.
