Rush by Any Joy

Nice guitar tone, a little dreamy. The vocal is subtle and pop-laden. Hailing from the Brighton music scene, Any Joy? was formed on the wake of a brother’s death, and marred with challenge. The track is ultimately optimistic, and brings a light to the listener.

Rolling percussion and a swirl of guitar and synth really amp this track up. Vocalist, Jimmy Herrity lyrics are poetic and nuanced. There is depth to his words that translate well in the track.

‘Rush is about fleeting moments of Joy in a sea of pain. Blissful moments where you remember how sweet life can taste when it seemed like all the lights had gone out.

Jimmy Herrity, vocalist
