This track is dreamy from the start and delivers a surprisingly soft vocal from vocalist “Pepper.” She has an alluring vocal delivery that is similar to the cadence found with PINK or other pop songstresses.
This track, Sleepovers, has an introspective intro that really showcases the jangly guitar and tight loungy percussion. The innocent-sounding pop vocal is a perfect pairing. The track meanders as Pepper expounds on the premise of mutual friendship and time spent overnight together, with no strings attached. As the track rounds out, the pace is uprooted and really drives to the finish. I love the energy.
