The Boyfriend by George McFall

Edinborough’s George McFall has an engaging vocal that wanders through a forest of new wave synth pop and poetic lyrics. The Boyfriend is being released through Tenement Records and features this eclectic producer, arranger, songwriter and musician in a role that seems a little more playful. This is a burgeoning track with a stellar mix of instrumentation and sonic appeal from all angles. More of a move from his previous industrial themed dark-pop endeavours with Clean George IV and XIV:Surrounder. However, the lyric and delivery is really a stand out in his work in general.

“…a peer through the magic lantern of The Boyfriend’s misspent youth, an ode to the Id, a fairground mirror for a friend”

George McFall
