Love the dark tweener vocal on this track. It’s a bit bubblegum and menacing all wrapped in a dark little package. I thought the electronics were great, the wave of dark synth comes out a little like NIN’s in it’s approach.
Based in NY, Zoë Moss is tracking to launch an EP later this year. This track and others are produced by Gabriel Stanley of Prom, and take a hard look at the life of a 20 something musician carousing the streets after dark.
Zoë’s melodic hooks are transient and let the listener move with the tight percussive back end. The overall sound is fresh, and tight. This is warehouse grunge with idyllic pop vocals.
