Urban Wilderness (Reimagined) by EMERGER

Emma De Goede and Gerry Matthee, the duo behind Emerger, have written a poignant track exploring the contrast of nature on urban life. This is specifically in relation to Cape Town, the band’s locale. The tune is wrapped in milky 80s synth and tight dance beats that build a mesmerizing experience for the listener. The vocals are warm and have a catchy balance with the jangly guitars in the lead up to the chorus. Nice production effects attack the vocals in the breakdown to the chorus where the listener can begin to find themselves moving unrelentlessly to the pop influenced beats.
