Carla J. Easton has a history of making driving pop tunes that explode with energy and creativity. From her beginnings with Futuristic Retro Champions to TeenCanteen and under the alias Ette, one thing has been the same, the energy and delivery in her sound have always been consistent.
This Glasgow songstress has been a staple in the growing music scene in Scotland, seeing success with her last two albums in as many years. This track features Honeyblood, the Scottish indie rock solo project of guitarist and singer-songwriter Stina Tweeddale.
Weirdo brings an infectious fat synth bassline that punches underneath a barrage of vocal energy. Easton leads the track with her dark infused melodic pop. The song is a bit haunting, dreamy, and really well produced. You can’t help sing-along, it’s that kind of song.
Her third album WEIRDO is released on 28th August 2020.
