Stray Babies is an indie rock project fronted by Minnesota native, Matt Johnson. Stepping out from behind the drum kit for his songwriting debut, Matt sought the help of Nashville producer and hired-gun Izaac Burkhart (Speakrs/Dan + Shay), his best friend and former Weaver At The Loom bandmate. Enlisting Dan Stewart (Wingman) for additional vocals and players Ian Allison and Grady Kenevan (Eric Hutchinson, jeremy messersmith), they crafted their first batch of songs under the Stray Babies moniker. The songs range from synth-fueled indie rock bangers taking aim at the establishment to darker, more introspective tracks with themes of self-discovery. Stray Babies’ self-titled EP is out now!
