Young Vampires by Local Nomad

Love the progressions in the track, an electric and dynamic chorus that pushes the boundaries and engages the fans. Vocally Michael Desmond (aka Local Nomad) has a sympathetic style, young and heartfelt, he can push his range and soften at a moment’s notice.

The synths and production are so bold and big in the mix, there are some great ambient and mystical patches that fill the track with a strong wall of sound. You can hear some of the more subtle influences in the tune, Elvis Costello and Phil Collins really stood out. This track takes you on a journey, it’s a youthful lovers anthem, and a poignant take on the derision of oneself in a relationship.

“This song is about becoming the ugliest version of yourself in a relationship. You’re not necessarily trying to hurt one another, but you end up forgetting the thing that once brought you together.”

Michael Desmond, Local Nomad
