Minus the Bear is a Seattle alt-rock band that has been rocking out for the last decade. The band has seen some significant turn over in the back end parting ways with a couple of drummers (Kiefer Matthias, and Erin Tate) over the years.
VOIDS is a tight collection of sonic experimentation leading to a new sense of purpose and growth for the band. Jake Snider (vocals /lead guitar) has captured the dynamic essence of the album and has matured as a songwriter.
Minus the Bear is strongest when releasing themselves, getting chaotic and heavy. Give & Take and Robotic Heart are some good examples of the dynamics this band can reach when opening up and delivering with power. The album is very produced compared to some of their earlier works, however, this narrative still works and the album is absolutely a rare find.
