The fiery Repenter are announcing the release of their new single “Skeletons.” The L.A.-based duo’s new single is the second offering from their upcoming EP-due out this fall. Comprised of vocalist Holly Winter and guitarist Thomas Scriven, Repenter bring their grungy, garage-rock energy to the forefront of today’s alternative scene.
This powerful new offering is a fantastic follow up to Repenter’s debut “So Sick.” Winter’s commanding and dynamic vocals can be likened to powerhouses like Kim Deal and Amy Winehouse. Complimented by a grunge-heavy rock soundscape, “Skeletons” is the kind of heavy-hitting rock we’re missing in our lives. Despite its complexity and unique intricacies, there is an underlying simplicity woven through the track that can be heard in the raw moments of Winter’s voice.
On the single Holly adds, “We wrote Skeletons around a rhythm. That one warm and steady tempo that kept our subconscious swaying and locked into a peaceful bpm, ocean wave hypnosis. These lyrics are a deeply personal conversation.”
