Shallow puts up a really interesting almost cinematic delivery. Featuring the brilliant steel guitar of Jy-Perry Banks, and the vocal bliss of Heavy in Pocket, Marc Creek delivers a song of transgression, a discontentment, the loss of something important in the blink of an eye.
I find the swells, the ups-and-downs that build out this tune are reminiscent of back-country drives, 4 windows down, gliding along rolling gravel roads. There’s a tension in the track, that keeps you honest. The artist delivers an eclectic mix of instrumentation that, in each, its own way, complements that growing relationship between each part, each story within the story.
