BAYBE, the 22-year-old pop artist from Miami, FL writes, co-produces, and performs on all of her studio recordings. while on tour this Miami 4 piece indie-pop group is gaining some attention for their energetic and sparkling shows.
Thematically inspired by films, Baybe is musically influenced by may pop contemporaries. Lana Del Rey, Run the Jewels are standing comparisons to Baybe’s sound, and for a good reason. Her pop vocal is on point and well mixed with very nice accompaniment. Baybe’s vocal range is strong, she has some deep range and can strike home with a subtle, almost whimsical tone.
Bridges is by far the best track I’ve heard from the band and is sending their sound in a great direction. I love the chanting in the chorus and the power behind the vocal. The percussive feel really sets a nice floor, as Baybe’s vocal drives in overtop.
“Being as every song I create is different from the last, something I hear a lot is people suggesting that I “don’t know who I am”. But this could not be further from the truth. That is exactly who I am, and it’s always been this way. I will never stop creating whatever makes my heart happy, and if that’s a long list, then so be it. I can only hope that everyone loves what I create as much as I love creating it.”
