This blazing new track from Hamilton, ON hardcore rockers, Hotknives is nothing short of brilliant. The vocal is gritty, pushed to the max, and really carries a fantastic growl. There is a hint of the indie vibe here with the complementary melodic vocalist in the chorus, definitely akin to Dallas Green and the boys in Alexisonfire. I really am digging the power in the guitars and rhythms here. Vocalist Zakk Abrams really takes a stronger path in his delivery, similar to Underoath’s Spencer Chamberlain or even a little lighter Living Sacrifice.
