If You Want It by Iska Dhaaf

Another brilliant tune from Brooklyn’s Nathan Quiroga and Benjamin Verdoes the duo behind Iska Dhaaf. If You Want It is a pop, dream-like bedroom jam that feels great. The song itself features the swelling Farfisa organ and a deep ambiance under a straight dance beat. This feels like a love song, drawing visions of romance and the excitement of “anything can happen.”

The tune also brings some elements from other contemporaries into their sound; there is truly an eerie similarity to Death Cab for Cutie spin-off Postal Service in the indietronic feel. However vocally, Iska Dhaaf has such a mellow and introspective cadence that that comparison only goes so far. Enjoy the texture that is laid throughout the tune, especially in the strings on the outro.
